Dr. Wilson grew up on the south side of Indianapolis, graduating from Perry Meridian High School in 1980. She received a Chemical Engineering degree from Purdue University in 1984 and graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1991. She practiced dentistry for three years in the Greenwood area before joining Douglas Harty DDS PC in 1995.

Dr. Wilson and her husband, Clark, have raised three children in the Center Grove schools. They are active members of Mount Pleasant Christian Church, where they are the coaches of the Bible Bowl Team.
